International Medical Informatics Association

Welcome to the IMIA Working Group 11 Home Page.

This page is designed as an electronic home for the members of the international community of dental informaticians. A dental informatician can be loosely defined as:
  • an individual who teaches or conducts research in the field of dental informatics,
  • a dental clinician who pushes the boundaries of dental informatics in the conduct of one's practice, or
  • a software developer for the dental or dental education community.
If you fit any part of this definition and would like to join our international community, please join us.

This website operates in tandem with a new IMIAWG11 listserv. Individuals interested in the activities of the Working Group are offered two forms of membership:

List Member
List Member status will be accorded to anyone who chooses to join the IMIAWG11 listserv. News of interest to the international dental informatics community will be posted to this list as will information about each new working group 'Web Member' when they add their biographical sketch to this website. Please fill out the application form by clicking here.
Web Member
Web Member status will be accorded to anyone who wishes to register on this website, outline their dental informatics interests and perhaps describe from one to three projects in which they are currently engaged. Add yourself to the IMIAWG11 Website and participating member database by clicking here.
The purpose of these membership categories is quite simple -- to bring the small, but rapidly growing, community of dental informaticians around the world into closer contact.

Finally, if you have any suggestions that would improve the Working Group, its activities, this website, or the listserv, please email us using the envelope below.

Thank you.....
